Reflecting the ancient philosophy of turning the other cheek, the composition challenges viewers to rethink the meaning of stillness, inviting them to see it not as passive, but as an active declaration of boundaries. Where judgment closes, discernment observes. Where reaction grabs, discernment releases. Where the world says “decide now,” discernment says “feel first.”

Discernment is a meditation on self-awareness; the realisation that the protection of one’s energy is the boldest act of self love. she has weighed what is before her and chosen not to engage. That is discernment in its purest form; a sacred refusal.
